蔚藍天際下的和煦春風、疾馳向后移動的公路線、在汽車上隨風擺動的肢體….
.這一切都意味著結束了豪華的游輪之旅的花栗鼠又要開始了紐約的奇幻之旅。
然而，這次的旅行并沒有他們想象中那樣輕松……
以極不嫻熟的駕駛技術穿梭在車流中的三只花栗鼠——頑皮的艾文、聰明的賽門、小可愛喜多在一連串的誤會之后，決定驅車前往紐約尋找他們的主人戴夫，并且阻止戴夫的求婚。三天后，來到戴夫的party上的三只花栗鼠放棄了這個愚蠢的想法，并且在戴夫的派對上狂歡，帶領眾人唱起了“火星人”布魯諾•瑪斯的熱門單曲“Uptown Funk”，將本就活躍的派對氣氛推向高潮。然而，狂歡過后的三只花栗鼠卻要面臨一個困難的抉擇——接受戴夫同父異母的兄弟加入他們的生活中，否則將失去戴夫……
